What issues does the COVID-19 crisis pose for those who misuse drugs?

C+D spoke to Dr Amira Guirguis about the impact of COVID-19 on those using misusing drugs and other substances


In C+D’s latest podcast, clinical editor Naimah Callachand spoke to Dr Amira Guirguis. Dr Guirguis is the MPharm programme director for the new School of Pharmacy at Swansea University.

She leads the Substance Misuse and Novel Psychoactive Substances workstream for the Science and Research Committee for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) and in this capacity advises the RPS, the Medicines Health Regulatory Agency, General Pharmaceutical Council and the Home Office on a number of substance misuses and scheduled drug issues.
